  • Beginning the week of March 13, 2012, Appraisal Staff are continuing review of properties in the south west portion of the county.The Beaumont Road, West Nickajack, Yates Springs areas west of Hwy 151 South and the Hwy 151 South properties to theWalker County line.

PUBLIC NOTICE:Notice to Catoosa County Property Owners and Occupants:

In accordance with O.C.G.A. 48 -5-264.1, please be advised that the Catoosa County Appraisal Staff may be visiting your property to review information regarding a return being filed, the filing of an appeal, construction or new improvements, review of records for property division or transfer or for conservation use assessment applications.

The field appraiser from our office will have photo identification and will be driving a marked county vehicle. Should you have any questions regarding the review and visit to properties performed by this office do not hesitate contact us at 706-965-3772.

The Catoosa County Board of Assessors will have field appraisers reviewing properties in the county due to a new discovery tool being implemented. For the 2012 property tax year unreturned or non-assessed improvements will be reviewed and added to our records as well as removing those that may no longer exist on the property. The new discovery tool is Accessory Finder utilizing new aerial photography, along with our current appraisal database to determine the properties to be reviewed. 

Any property owner receiving a field visit who may have any questions or concerns is encouraged to contact either Dale McCurdy, Chief Appraiser or Ann Knight, Deputy Chief Appraiser at 706-965-3772. It is our goal to have as many records as correct as possible. The Board of Assessors would like to remind property owners April 1st is the deadline for returning property and filing for homestead exemptions for the 2012 tax year.

 
The week of March 5, 2010, Appraisal Staff will be reviewing properites in the south west portion of the county. The west portion being Burning Bush Road area and east to the Hwy 151 Woodstation Community.
