HOURLY RATE BASED ON JOB EXPERIENCE
Job Summary:
State of GA Requirements:
q Candidate must be at least eighteen years of age
q Candidate cannot have been convicted of a felony in the past 10 years
q Candidate must be of good moral character as determined by investigation
q High School graduate or General Education Development Equivalency
q Physician’s Affidavit of Good Physical Condition and pass the Georgia Certified Firefighters Physical Agility Test
q Be fingerprinted and a search of local, state and national fingerprint files to disclose any criminal record
q State of GA Basic Firefighter Training Course
q Successful completion of the State of GA Firefighter Certification Test
Prefer:
· Certification as a Georgia Certified Fire Fighter, NPQ Fire Fighter I, NPQ Fire Fighter II, Emergency Medical Technician I, or higher.
Post Offer Requirements:
q Post offer negative drug test (drug free workplace)
q Pass NPQ Firefighter I Certification (within 1 Year)
q Valid Class B Driver’s License
q Must maintain annual certification for State of Georgia Certified Firefighter
q Must obtain and maintain certification and licensure as a Georgia Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate or higher within 2 years of employment.
