Catoosa County Government shares your concern about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and we continue to monitor developments and work proactively to mitigate any possible future impacts. While there are no confirmed cases in Catoosa County, we are taking an "all hands on deck" approach with our community and state partners.
A well-developed and coordinated pandemic plan is in place that engages county and city agencies, first responders, health care providers, Catoosa County Public Schools, state agencies and local businesses. We are meeting regularly with our community partners and are prepared to act quickly upon recommendations from the Georgia Department of Public Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and others.
In the meantime, please consider taking a neighborly approach in the event you are asked to prepare your family for any disruptions to work, school or every day life. This can include checking on neighbors who are alone, infirm or elderly and offering to run errands for groceries, medicine and household supplies if needed. Parents can plan for relatives and friends to help take care of their children if schools are closed, or offer others to help with their children while their parents are at work.
All of us in Catoosa County Government strive to maintain a great quality of life in our community. That includes helping you stay informed and prepared in the event of community impacts. For the latest information about the coronavirus, please visit these sites:
